I recently took a day trip to Frankfort, KY with my family and we had a blast exploring the city without spending a dime. One of the highlights was visiting the Salato Wildlife Education Center, a free wildlife exhibit that showcases Kentucky's diverse wildlife. We also had a great time visiting the historic Old State Capitol, where we learned about the state's rich history. Another free activity we enjoyed was walking along the scenic Kentucky River and taking in the breathtaking views. Frankfort definitely exceeded our expectations when it came to free things to do and see.
