I had such a great time in McKinney and wanted to share some of the free things I enjoyed doing. First, I visited the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. They have beautiful trails and exhibits where you can learn about the local wildlife. I also recommend visiting the Chestnut Square Historic Village. It's a collection of historic buildings that showcase life in the early 20th century. Lastly, the Towne Lake Recreation Area is a great spot for outdoor activities like picnicking, kayaking, and fishing. McKinney truly offers something for everyone, without breaking the bank!
