Aeromexico's alliance with Delta Airlines

Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines have a transborder alliance, with Aeromexico serving as one of the founding members of the SkyTeam Alliance, along with Delta. The two airlines have been working together since 2017, when they implemented their Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA). This agreement has transformed the US-Mexico transborder market by creating a seamless travel experience for customers travelling between the two airlines.

Delta and Aeromexico operate in the same terminals in Mexico City (MEX), Monterrey (MTY) and Guadalajara (GDL), and have flown over 28 million customers in over 250,000 flights. They currently offer 43 routes between Mexico and the United States, with Los Angeles International Airport being their main gateway to the US, offering 35 weekly flights to Mexico City.

SkyMiles members can earn and use miles when flying with Aeromexico, and Medallion Members can enjoy benefits like priority services, lounge access and more. Aeromexico offers three classes of service: Clase Premier, AM Plus, and Main Cabin. Entertainment screens are available on long-haul flights, and wifi is offered on selected routes.

Aeromexico Rewards offers three tiers of elite status: Gold, Platinum, and Titanium. Each tier offers perks such as premium cabin upgrades, fee waivers, priority treatment for boarding, check-in, and more. To qualify for Gold status, members must earn 50,000 points or fly 50 segments. Platinum status requires 80,000 points or 80 segments, while Titanium status requires 100,000 points (with 80,000 of those points from Aeromexico or Delta) or 100 segments.

In addition to redeeming points for award flights, Aeromexico Rewards members can also use their points for non-ticket extras such as seat selection, checked baggage, and upgrades to the Premier cabin.
