What You'll Learn
Who needs a Thai pass?
The Thai Pass is a web-based system for Thai and foreign travellers to fill in their travel and health information, such as flight details, hotel accommodation, vaccination status and insurance. It is required for all travellers entering Thailand by air, whether they are Thai nationals or foreigners.
From 1 May 2022, Thai Pass application and approval requirements have depended on a traveller's vaccination status. Fully vaccinated travellers do not need to quarantine and can enter Thailand under the No Quarantine programme. They must provide proof of COVID insurance and their vaccination certificate when applying for the Thai Pass. Thai nationals only need to provide their vaccination certificate as insurance is not required for them. Unvaccinated children under 18 can travel with vaccinated parents without quarantining, and their personal information must be included in the application.
Unvaccinated travellers have two options for entering Thailand. They can enter under the existing 5-day Alternate Quarantine programme, or they can enter the No Quarantine programme by completing an RT-PCR test and uploading the result into their Thai Pass application. The test cannot be older than 72 hours before their departure date.
The Thai Pass is not required for those travelling to Thailand by land or sea.
