What makes Red River Gorge so special for hikers? For one, the landscape is incredibly varied. You'll find towering sandstone cliffs, natural arches, and rugged gorges here. These features have been carved by years of flowing water, creating a unique and dramatic environment to explore.

There are several popular hiking trails in Red River Gorge that range from easy to difficult. The easiest trail is perhaps the Gray's Arch Trail, which is a two-mile round trip hike that takes you to a beautiful natural arch.
