It has beautiful hiking trails, picnic areas, and even a nature center that offers educational programs for kids. We also love taking our children to Rotometals Outdoor Skate Plaza. It's a great way to get them active and have fun at the same time. Decatur truly has something for everyone in the family!

Decatur, IL is such a hidden gem for family-friendly activities! One of our favorite things to do with our kids is visit Scovill Zoo. It's the perfect size for young children and has a great variety of animals to see. Plus, they have a playground and train rides! Another must-do is taking a trip to the Children's Museum of Illinois. It's educational, interactive, and provides hours of fun for kids of all ages. We love that Decatur offers these unique experiences for our little ones!
