Essex County, NJ is a wonderful place to bring the whole family for a fun-filled day. One of our favorite activities was visiting the Turtle Back Zoo, where the kids got to see all types of animals and even had the chance to feed the giraffes! We also enjoyed spending a day at the Ricalton Square playground in South Orange, which has a unique wooden play structure that the kids loved. And of course, no family trip to Essex County would be complete without a visit to the Essex County Environmental Center, where we learned about the local wildlife and even went on a guided nature hike. It was a perfect family getaway!
