With its crystal clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life, the Florida Keys offer an unforgettable underwater experience for both beginners and seasoned divers. And what better time to visit than in January, when the water is calm, the weather is mild, and the crowds are thin?

Located at the southernmost tip of Florida, the Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands famous for their coral reefs. The islands are divided into three main regions: the Upper Keys, the Middle Keys, and the Lower Keys. Each region offers unique diving opportunities, but no matter which area you choose to explore, you're in for a treat.

One of the most popular spots for snorkeling and diving in the Florida Keys is John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, located in Key Largo. This park is home to one of the only living coral reefs in the continental United States, known as the Florida Reef Tract. Snorkelers can swim in the shallow waters and observe an array of colorful fish, corals, and other marine creatures.
