The most famous and impressive of these falls is known as the Devil's Throat, or Garganta del Diablo in Spanish. This U-shaped cascade is over 80 meters high, making it the tallest waterfall in the entire system.

The Iguazu Falls are situated within the lush and biodiverse Iguazu National Park, which spans both Argentina and Brazil. The park is home to a plethora of plant and animal species, including jaguars, toucans, ocelots, and countless others. It has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its exceptional natural beauty and ecological significance.

Visitors to the falls can explore the park on numerous walking trails and boardwalks that provide breathtaking views of the cascades from different angles. For a more immersive experience, boat tours are also available, allowing visitors to get up close to the falls and feel the mist on their faces. Helicopter rides over the falls are another popular option, offering a unique aerial perspective of this natural wonder.

Additionally, there are several lookout points and viewing platforms on both sides that offer stunning photo opportunities.

Aside from the falls themselves, the Iguazu region offers a range of other attractions and activities. Wildlife enthusiasts can take guided tours to spot exotic animals in their natural habitat, while adventure seekers can go zip-lining or rappelling through the surrounding rainforest.
