Sachuest Beach, in particular, offered stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. If you're into history, I would highly recommend checking out the historic mansions, such as The Breakers or The Elms. The gardens and architecture are breathtaking. Lastly, make sure to take a stroll downtown and visit the local shops and restaurants. I found the downtown area to be charming and full of character. Middletown is definitely a hidden gem.

During my recent trip to Middletown, RI, I discovered some amazing things to do in the area. First and foremost, I would suggest visiting Norman Bird Sanctuary. The trails in this wildlife preserve are perfect for hiking and birdwatching. Another great outdoor activity is to rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore the Sakonnet River. The calm waters and scenic views are truly a treat. And of course, you can't forget about the food! Middletown has some fantastic seafood restaurants. I highly recommend trying the fresh clam chowder at the local seafood shacks. Overall, Middletown offers a perfect blend of outdoor adventures and delicious dining options.
