- While Newport doesn't have any traditional amusement parks, there are a few playgrounds and parks that are perfect for kids. Don Davis Park has a large play structure, basketball courts, and open grassy areas for playing. Yaquina View Elementary School also has a playground that is open to the public outside of school hours.

I recently took my kids to Newport, Oregon and we had the best time exploring all the family-friendly activities! One of our favorite things to do was visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium. My kids loved seeing the different marine animals up close and even got to touch some of them. We also enjoyed going on a boat tour to see the famous Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. It was such a unique experience for the whole family. Newport also has some beautiful beaches where the kids could build sandcastles and look for seashells. Overall, Newport was the perfect destination for a fun-filled family vacation!

Our family vacation to Newport, Oregon was amazing, especially for our little ones! One highlight was visiting the Hatfield Marine Science Center. It was educational and entertaining at the same time, with interactive exhibits that kept the kids engaged. Another fun activity we did was go on a whale watching tour. Seeing those magnificent creatures in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience for everyone. Newport also has a great selection of family-friendly restaurants where we could grab a bite to eat after a day of exploring. The kids loved trying the local seafood dishes!
