I recently visited Oita and had such an amazing time exploring all the things to do in the area. One of my favorite activities was visiting the hot springs in Beppu. The different types of baths were so unique and relaxing, it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I also highly recommend checking out Usuki, a small town known for its ancient stone Buddhas. The statues were incredibly impressive and it was fascinating to learn about the history behind them. Oita is such a beautiful destination with a diverse range of things to do. One of my favorite experiences was hiking up Mount Yufu. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking and it was a challenging but rewarding hike. Another highlight of my trip was visiting Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Garden. Seeing the wild monkeys up close and personal was such a unique experience. They were so playful and entertaining to watch.
