One landmark that should not be missed is the Gateway Arch, a stunning monument that stands as a symbol of the city's westward expansion.

The Gateway Arch is part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, which commemorates the Louisiana Purchase and the pioneers who helped settle the West. It was designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen and completed in 1965. The Arch stands 630 feet tall and is made of stainless steel, making it the tallest arch in the world and the tallest man-made monument in the United States.

Attend a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium

Attend
Source: ParkMobile

Saint Louis, Missouri, is a city with a rich cultural and sports history. Among the city's main draws for locals and visitors alike is Busch Stadium, home of the Saint Louis Cardinals professional baseball team. Whether you're a fan of the game or just looking for a fun outing, attending a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium should be on your Saint Louis itinerary.

The stadium, which first opened in 2006, can seat up to 45,000 fans at a time - and they love to pack it in for a Cardinals game. The atmosphere in the stadium is electric, and the city as a whole becomes even more lively on game days. You'll find fans of all ages, decked out in red and white, cheering on their team with passion. If you're new to the game or just want to brush up on your baseball knowledge, you can always join in the enthusiastic conversation with the locals.

But it's not just the fans that make a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium special. The stadium itself is an impressive sight. It was built to honor the legacy of the team and the city's connection to beer (the "original" Busch Stadium was named for the company behind Budweiser). From its iconic Gateway Arch-shaped lights that illuminate the field at night to the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum in the stadium's north side, there's plenty to take in.

And of course, there's the game itself. The Saint Louis Cardinals have a long and storied history, dating back to the late 1800s. They've won eleven World Series championships, second only to the New York Yankees, and boast a roster of iconic players like Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, and Ozzie Smith. Some of the biggest names in baseball today, like Yadier Molina and Paul Goldschmidt, also play for the team.

When attending a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure you arrive early so you can take your time getting inside and finding your seat. If you want to avoid the lines at the concession stands, consider packing snacks (just remember that some items, like glass bottles, are not allowed inside the stadium). Look for the Budweiser Bow Tie Bar, which offers stunning views of the stadium and the city skyline. Finally, be sure to stand up and join in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch.

A Cardinals game at Busch Stadium is a quintessential Saint Louis experience. Whether you're a baseball fanatic or just looking for a fun day out with friends or family, you'll have a memorable time taking in the sights and sounds of the stadium and cheering on the Cardinals. Make sure to add it to your calendar next time you're in town.

I recently visited Saint Louis and had an amazing time exploring all the things to do in the city. One of my favorite activities was visiting the Gateway Arch. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking and it was such a unique experience. I also loved checking out the City Museum, which was like nothing I had ever seen before. It's an interactive museum with slides and obstacle courses, perfect for both kids and adults. Overall, Saint Louis is a city full of charm and endless things to do!

I just came back from a weekend trip to Saint Louis and I had such a great time. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Saint Louis Zoo. It's one of the top zoos in the country and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Seeing all the different animals up close was a truly incredible experience. I also enjoyed taking a stroll in Forest Park, which is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. Saint Louis has so much to offer and I can't wait to go back and explore more!
