The Lewis and Clark Recreation Area is a must-visit spot for nature enthusiasts, with its beautiful hiking trails and scenic views of the Missouri River. Yankton, SD is a hidden gem when it comes to things to do. One of my favorite experiences was visiting the Dakota Territorial Museum, which showcases the region's history and culture. It was fascinating to learn about the Native American tribes that once inhabited the area and see artifacts from that time. Another highlight was visiting the Gavins Point National Fish Hatchery, where you can take a guided tour and learn about the different fish species that are raised there. Yankton definitely exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to visit again.
