Stratosphere Thrill Rides

Stratosphere
Source: thestrat.com

The Flamingo Las Vegas is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by countless attractions. However, if you're looking for a thrill-seeking adventure, the Stratosphere Thrill Rides are an absolute must-visit. This iconic 1,149-foot tower is home to four of the most exhilarating rides in the world. In this article, we'll take you through the best of them.

First up, we have the "Insanity". This ride is not for the faint-hearted. Imagine being strapped into a mechanical arm that dangles you off the side of the building, 900 feet above ground! The ride rotates at high speeds, giving you a panoramic view of the Las Vegas Strip, while testing your bravery. If you're up for it, you should definitely give it a go.

Next on the list is "X-Scream". This ride is a rollercoaster on stilts, where you're seated in a vehicle attached to a seesaw-like mechanism. Once it reaches the end of the track, the vehicle is propelled forward over the edge of the tower, giving riders the sensation of free-falling off the building. This ride is not only thrilling but the views are incredible, making it worth at least one ride.

If the previous two rides haven't made you feel sick yet, "Big Shot" will surely do the trick. This ride is quite a simple concept, but it's one of the most popular. You're strapped into an open-sided pod that's attached to a hydraulic arm which propels you 160 feet into the air in just a few seconds. The ride offers incredible views of the city before dropping down quicker than you can even imagine, almost making your heart skip a beat.

Last but not least, we have "SkyJump". This ride is a bungee jumping experience taken to a whole new level. It is the ultimate adrenaline rush, as you jump off the Stratosphere Tower and plummet 829 feet to the ground below. This is not a ride for everyone, but if you're feeling brave enough, it's definitely an experience you'll never forget.

In conclusion, the Stratosphere Thrill Rides are without a doubt, some of the most exhilarating things to do near Flamingo Las Vegas. If you're looking to get your heart rate up and indulge in some extreme activities, consider visiting any of the rides mentioned above - just don't forget to hold onto your hat!
