There are several outdoor activities to enjoy near Southwest Waterfront, including walking or jogging on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, kayaking or paddleboarding on the Potomac River, and catching a Nationals baseball game at nearby Nationals Park.
Visitors can learn about the history of the area by touring historic sites such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Tidal Basin, and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. Walking tours and audio tours are also available in the area.
