I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hatteras Island, specifically Buxton, and I can't recommend it enough! There are so many amazing things to do in this area. First and foremost, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is an absolute must-visit. The views from the top are breathtaking and it's a great way to learn about the history of the island. Additionally, I highly suggest taking a drive along the Outer Banks Scenic Byway. The scenery is absolutely stunning and it's a great way to explore the area. Finally, be sure to spend some time relaxing on the beautiful beaches. The pristine white sand and crystal clear waters are like something out of a dream. Overall, Buxton is a hidden gem that should definitely be on your travel list!
