I lived in Charlotte for a few years and spent a couple of Thanksgivings there. One of my favorite things to do was to participate in the Turkey Trot in Uptown Charlotte. It's a great way to start off the day by doing something active and giving back to the community at the same time. After the race, my friends and I would usually head to a local brewery to enjoy some Thanksgiving-themed beers. It's always a fun and festive atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
