The trails are absolutely beautiful and there are hikes for all levels of experience. One of my favorite hikes was to Kaaterskill Falls, the tallest waterfall in New York State. The views were breathtaking and it was such a refreshing experience to be surrounded by nature. If you're looking to reconnect with nature and challenge yourself with a hike, the Catskill Mountains are the perfect escape from the city.

While I loved exploring the vibrant streets of New York City, I also wanted to experience the beauty of nature. One of the best things to do outside of New York is to visit the Finger Lakes region. I went there for a weekend getaway and it was absolutely stunning. The lakes are surrounded by picturesque landscapes, wineries, and charming small towns. I had a great time touring the wineries, tasting delicious wines, and enjoying the peacefulness of the area. If you're a nature lover like me, a trip to the Finger Lakes should definitely be on your list!
