Located in downtown St. Louis, the City Museum is a sprawling, multi-level playhouse that's sure to capture your imagination. But the City Museum is more than just a playground for adults. It's also a celebration of St. Louis' industrial past, with exhibits featuring salvaged pieces from the city's factories and warehouses. Visitors can explore a giant ball pit made from thousands of recycled plastic balls, crawl through a hollowed-out airplane, or scale the side of an 11-story building on a metal spiral staircase.

For the adventurous, the City Museum also offers a rooftop Ferris wheel and a metal slide that takes riders underground and out the side of the museum. And for those looking for a more relaxed experience, there are plenty of quieter areas to explore, such as an enchanted forest with hidden rooms and a giant aquarium filled with colorful sea creatures.
