Trusted Traveler Interviews: Navigating Dfw Airport

The Global Entry Program is a Trusted Traveler Program that allows pre-approved, low-risk travellers to skip the long customs lines at select airports. The program is available at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), where the Global Entry office is located at Terminal D, Lower Level, in the hallway just south of the International Arrivals area. Global Entry Program

The Global Entry Program is a US government initiative that allows pre-approved, low-risk travellers to clear customs faster when arriving in the United States. Members can use automated kiosks at select airports, skipping the traditional passport control line and paper customs declaration forms. The program is available at major US airports, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

To apply for the Global Entry Program, you must complete an online application. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an interview at one of the Global Entry Enrollment Centres. These centres are located in airports or other government buildings. The DFW Global Entry office is located in Terminal D, Lower Level, in the hallway just south of the International Arrivals area.

Upon landing at DFW, Global Entry travellers proceed directly to the automated kiosks to answer customs declaration questions. They will then be issued a ticket and directed to baggage claim.

The Global Entry Program is open to US citizens, US lawful permanent residents, and citizens of Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Argentina, India, Colombia, Panama, Singapore, South Korea, and Mexico. All applicants undergo a background check and in-person interview before enrolment.

Terminal D, Lower Level

The Global Entry office at Terminal D, Lower Level, is located in the hallway just south of the International Arrivals area. You will see a door with a "Department of Homeland Security" seal on it and a white overhead Global Entry sign.

If you are driving, please park in Terminal D parking lot level one. The office is located just outside of the International Arrival area near Gates D22-23 (middle of the Terminal).

The Enrollment Center is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that the Center will also be closed on federal holidays.

An appointment is required for all Global Entry interviews. You can schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center after your application has been conditionally approved.

If you are seeking to update your document information, you may do so at the Enrollment Center window without an appointment. For example, if you need to update your passport or change your name on your new passport, you can visit the Center without scheduling an interview beforehand.

For those needing to visit the CBP Cashiers Office, please proceed to the lower level of Terminal D at D23, located to the left of International Arrivals. Items such as I-94 corrections, deferred inspection permits, and all customs documents are handled at this office. The office is open daily, seven days a week, from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Enrollment on Arrival

EoA is a CBP program that allows conditionally approved Global Entry applicants to complete their interview, the final step of the Global Entry enrollment process, upon arrival in the United States. This includes those entering the United States via a designated CBP Preclearance location.

The EoA program eliminates the need for Global Entry applicants to schedule an interview at an enrollment center to complete the application process.

How to Complete the Interview via EoA

When landing in an international terminal, follow the signage to CBP officers who can complete your Global Entry interview during your admissibility inspection.

If you require assistance for your Global Entry interview because of a disability, immediately inform the interviewing CBP officer of your need for a reasonable modification or auxiliary aid or service to participate in the interview. If you use EoA and request a modification, aid, or service, and it is not readily available, the interview may be scheduled for a later date.

To complete the interview via EoA, you must have the following documents:

• A valid passport. If you use more than one passport, bring them all to the interview so that the information can be added to your file.
• Documents providing evidence of residency, such as a driver's license (if the address is current), mortgage statement, rental payment statement, utility bill, etc. This is not required for minors.
• A permanent resident card (if applicable).

EoA at DFW

Conditionally-approved Global Entry applicants can have their enrollment interview conducted at CBP booths 35 or 36 in the Passport Control arrivals hall as part of their entry processing to complete their Global Entry enrollment.

CBP Cashiers Office

If you need to go to the CBP Cashiers Office at DFW Airport, you'll find it on the lower level of Terminal D at D23, located to the left of International Arrivals. The office handles items such as I-94 corrections, deferred inspection permits, and all customs documents. It is open daily, 7 days a week, from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The CBP Cashiers Office is part of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) department, which offers a range of programs to speed up the entry process for eligible travelers entering the U.S. The Mobile Passport Control (MPC) application, for example, can be used by U.S. or Canadian citizens, or Lawful Permanent Residents, to streamline processing when entering the U.S. Eligible travelers with a smartphone or tablet can download the MPC app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

At DFW Airport, this interview can be conducted at CBP booths 35 or 36 in the Passport Control arrivals hall.

Global Entry Enrollment Center

The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) Global Entry Enrollment Center is located at Terminal D, Dallas, TX 75261. The office is on the lower level of the terminal, in the hallway just outside and to the south of the International Arrivals area.

If you are driving to the Global Entry Enrollment Center, you should park in the Terminal D parking lot on level one. From there, make your way to the International Arrivals area and follow the overhead signage to Global Entry, which will be on your left. The Global Entry signage will point to a door with a "Department of Homeland Security" seal on it.
