One of the highlights for me was visiting the Hortillonnages, which are beautiful floating gardens located on the outskirts of the city. Exploring these unique gardens by boat was a truly magical experience. Another must-see attraction in Amiens is the Picardie Museum, where you can admire a wide range of art and artifacts from different periods. Lastly, if you're a fan of markets, make sure to visit the Les Halles, a vibrant covered market offering a great variety of fresh produce, local specialties, and more. You won't be disappointed!

Amiens is a hidden gem that offers a range of activities for all types of travelers. During my visit, I made sure to explore Jules Verne's House, a museum dedicated to the famous French writer. It was fascinating to learn more about his life and works, and the museum itself is housed in a beautiful historic building. Additionally, I would highly recommend checking out the Saint-Pierre Park, a serene and peaceful green space where you can relax and enjoy nature. The park also offers stunning views of the city and the Somme River. Don't miss out on trying some local cuisine while you're in Amiens - the crêpes and galettes are absolutely delicious!
