Try Bali's unique Luwak coffee

Source: www.tripadvisor.com

If you're visiting Candi Dasa, there's absolutely no way you can leave without trying Bali's unique Luwak coffee. This coffee is not your typical cup of joe - it's actually made from beans that have been digested and excreted by a nocturnal mammal called the Asian palm civet.

The Luwak coffee process begins with the civet's consumption of coffee cherries, which then ferment inside its stomach and pass through its digestive system. The beans are then collected, cleaned, and roasted to perfection, resulting in a smooth and velvety coffee with a rich aroma and unique taste.

While some may be hesitant to try a coffee that comes from animal excrement, the Luwak coffee experience is truly one-of-a-kind. The novelty factor aside, the coffee itself is undeniably delicious and worth a try.

Candi Dasa is home to several cafes and restaurants that serve up this rare brew, so you won't have to travel far to find it. One popular spot is the Luwak Coffee Bali Plantation, where visitors can take a guided tour of the coffee-making process and taste various types of Luwak coffee.
