San Salvador is a great destination for nature lovers. I had the opportunity to visit Parque Nacional El Boqueron, which is a national park located on the outskirts of the city. The hike up to the crater of the volcano was challenging but the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. Another highlight was visiting the Joya de Ceren Archaeological Site, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It's known as the Pompeii of the Americas and offers a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of the Mayans.
